PURPOSE:To enhance the effect of damping the energy of waves by a method in which one or more horizontal plates are connected with a horizontal-plate supporting frame and fixed to the seabed by steel truss, anchors, etc. CONSTITUTION:One or more horizontal plates 1 are connected with a horizontal- plate supporting frame 4 below the water surface 2 and then fixed to the seabed by steel trusses 5 or anchors to form a breakwater device. The production and setting costs of the breakwater device can thus be reduced, and the effect of damping the energy of waves can be raised by lessening the effect of water depth for setting.
