PURPOSE:To reduce the setting area of a moving mechanism or the like with a reduction in the scan length of a scintillation camera, by decreasing the amount of data according to the position in the direction of moving the scintillation camera to rearrange the amount of data uniformly. CONSTITUTION:The effective field of view 2 of a scintillation camera is so set at the end of the length L to be held within an area from which an image of a person 1 to be inspected in to be obtained and this point shall be the position of starting a scanning. The scintillation camera is moved in the direction X as shown by a dotted line (a) and the end position also is so set at the end of the length L to be held within the length L area as shown by the two-dot chain line. The stoppage time at the start position and the end position corresponds to the moving speed V of the scintillation camera and the X-way length A of the effective field of view 2. To decrease the number of data at the part A of both of the ends thereof, the number of data at the position at a distance from the end is multiplied by a coefficient (k) for correction to obtain an overall length image of a person 1 being inspected with a uniform amount of data at the length L.
