PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of a system during a failure on the trolley line side or the D.C. power bus side, and to make it possible to effectively use recovery current, by combining breakers and a diode bridge circuit so that current flows through one and the same breaker during power running operation and recovery operation, and by allowing the recovery current to flow through the same breaker. CONSTITUTION:The connecting point 46 between diodes 42a, 42b in a bridge circuit 41 is connected to a first trolley line 9a through a breaker 8a, and the connecting point between diodes 42c, 42d is connected to a second trolley line 9b. Further, the connecting point 53 between the diodes 31, 32 connected in series in a series circuit 30 is connected to a third trolley line 9c. A thyristor breaker 43 is connected between both common connecting points 44, 45. With this arrangement, only one set of breakers 43 are used in the circuits for the first, second and third trolley lines. Further, power running current and recovery current may be surely cut off. It is possible to surely cope with failures in the buses and the like by cutting off these buses. Further, recovery current from the trolley lines may be effectively used, and it is possible to produce the power feed device at a low cost since only one set of breakers along used.
