PURPOSE:To quickly transfer a variable data by transferring the subscriber variable data of one exchange to the subscriber variable data storage area of other exchange depending on a prescribed procdure operation. CONSTITUTION:A signal received by a signal reception means 32 via a common signal line 20 is inputted to a signal analysis means 42, where the signal is analyzed. When the means 42 analyzes the transfer preparation end signal of a variable data as reception, the information of variable data transfer is sent to a data read means 43 together with the reception information. The means 43 inhibits the change of a storage data in the variable data storage area 51 taking the transfer sender subscriber number of the storage means 61 as an address and reads the storage content as the transfer data. The read data is transferred to a data edition means 44, where the data is edited into a prescribed transmission signal and sent to a common signal line 20 via the signal transmission means 33. When the transfer data is transferred normally and registered at a transfer destination exchange 12, the means 42 receives and analyzes it and sends the result to the means 43.
