PURPOSE:To make it possible to output the false water temp. corresponding to the state of an engine operation even at he abnormal time of temp. sensor, by providing a false water temp. output means for outputting definite false water temp. when the temp. sensor is abnormal. CONSTITUTION:An abnormality judge means 1 detects the abnormality of a water temp. sensor 40. A fixed value false temp. output means 2 outputs a fixed value false temp. to a second gate circuit 3 at the time of the detection of abnormality. A false temp. output start means 4 generates output in response to the start signal from a cracking switch 52 and the output of the abnormality judge means 1 to allow a warm-up false temp. output means to output false temp. simulating the rising in temp. at a warm-up time. Second and third gate circuits 3, 6 turn ON in response to the output of the abnormality judge means 1 to output the fixed value false temp. and a warm-up false temp. signal to an objective opening degree control means 7 corresponding to water temp. The output signal of the control means 7 is applied to a stepping motor 18a and the amount of a gaseous mixture is adjusted to a value suitable for warm-up operation.
