PURPOSE:To obtain an oxygen-enriched membrane wherein permeability constant is order of 10<-8>ml (STP)cm/cm<2> second cm Hg and coefficient of separation for nitrogen is near to 3 by using a high molecular material obtained by polymerizing a substituted 1, 3-butadiene derivative. CONSTITUTION:High molecule obtained by polymerizing a substituted 1, 3 3-butadiene derivative having a structural formula shown in a formula is used as a material. As a used monomer, 1-trimethoxysilyl-1,3-butadiene and 2- trimethoxysilyl-1,3-butadiene, etc., are used. Further a homopolymer is not necessarily used and a compd. copolymerized with unsaturated hydrocarbon compd., vinyl compd., acrylic ester, diene compd. and unsaturated carboxylic acid, etc., may be used. Also the compd. having a siloxane bond in a main chain may be used. As a method for making the polymer to a membrane, an optional process can be utilized and membrane formation due to plasma polymerization can be used.
