PURPOSE:To eliminate the characteristic change of a system and dead time and to obtain the control variable adequate for obtaining stable water quality. by adjusting and updating a control parameter by the process data and running data of an actually working plant. CONSTITUTION:The process data and/or running data of the actually working plant are inputted and held and the control parameter is adjusted from said data by taking the dead time of the objective process into consideration in a method for adapting a water treatment to the characteristic change of the system and controlling the objective process in order to obtain the stable water quality. More specifically, the control parameter of a feed forward control block 21 is corrected at every specified period in accordance with the data of the respective water quality before and after a chemical treatment detected by sensors 1, 3 and the chemical injection rate determined by the block 21 and the optimum control parameter is thereby identified in a block 6 for identifying the process analysis and control parameter. As a result, the treated water of the specified water quality is obtd. at all times.
