PURPOSE:To form metal having long length and excellent surface accuracy at high production yield by rotating a heated roll in contact with a rotating surface of a cooling roll or a disk. CONSTITUTION:Molten metal 4 is injected, cooled and solidified on the surface of the rotating roll 1 or the disk 1' from a nozzle 3, to produce directly a foil metal 5. Then, the heated roll 2 whose whole body is heated is brought into contact with the cooling roll 1 or the disk 1' and rotated to heat only on the surface of the roll 1 or the disk 1'. In this way, the foil metal 5 having good surface condition is obtd. |
