The upper face 5 of this ski comprises a protection element which is a film of two-layer plastic material consisting of a flexible plastic material 3 which is resistant to cracking in the cold state and to flowing in the hot state and suitable for adhesive bonding, and of a semi-rigid plastic material 2 which is resistant to cracking in the cold state, to flowing in the hot state, to UV rays, and to abrasion. A decoration produced from sublimable inks on a support paper 1 is transferred thermally onto one of the layers of the two-layer plastic material 2, 3, the other layer comprising pigments. <IMAGE>
