PURPOSE:To make it possible to assemble a watch with a high degree of accuracy, by forming a workpiece chucking section in a means for positioning a chuck jig, at a position where a workpiece is to be assembled. CONSTITUTION:A watch bottom board 2 is secured to a pallet 11 by means of a positioning pin 9 secured on a pallet 11. A chuck jig positioning pin 10 secured to the pallet 11, is to position a chuck jig 13 to which is secured a pallet positioning pin 8 for positioning the pallet to the chuck jig 13. The chuck jig 13 has a workpiece chucking section 11 at a position where a workpiece 7 is assembled to the watch bottom plate 2 secured on the pallet 11, and is itself secured to a chuck band 4 which is in turn secured to a feed device and has a vacuum/pressure air intake-port 5 necessary for mounting or removing the workpiece 7.
