PURPOSE:To safely perform operation further to enhance the rate of operation, by detecting the operative condition of a work machine and obtaining a change amount of tank fluid level by the operative condition of the work machine through calculation so as to determine a system oil quantity. CONSTITUTION:An oil temperature sensor 41, inclination sensor 40, tank oil amount level sensor 17, boom angle sensor 18, arm angle sensor 19 and a bucket angle sensor 20 are provided in a work machine, and an arithmetic processor 42, which inputs an output from each sensor and obtains a change amount of tank fluid level by an operative condition of the work machine through calculation to be adjusted, obtains a system oil quantity indicated by the present tank fluid level. In this way, since the correct system oil quantity and its time change in that point of time can be known, safe operation and work of high operational rate can be performed.
