PURPOSE:To prevent thermal deformation of a column and to aim at preventing the accuracy of machining, by providing a heat-radiating plate such that an air-layer is formed in the outer peripheral section of the column to shield and radiate heat from a processing tank in an electric processing device. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece 9 is dipped in a processing tank 7 containing processing liquid 8, and is attached to a column 2 having a head 3 which is attached with an electrode 4 and adapted to be moved up and down. A heat radiating plate 11 is arranged around the outer peripheral section of the column 2 including the flank surface, back surface and lateral surface thereof, with an air layer being formed therebetween. With this heat radiating plate 11, radiation heat and convection heat which are generated in the processing tank 7 during electric process, are shielded but heat transmitted to the heat radiating plate is radiated to the atmosphere. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the temperature of the column from rising, resulting in a small relative displacement between the electrode 4 and the workpiece 9, thereby it is possible to enhance the accuracy of processing.
