The subject of the invention is a method and equipment for presenting audiovisual shows. According to the invention, an audiovisual show comprising information about the show and commands is produced in a central installation; the information about the show is divided into two groups and transformed into data with a first and a second format; the data with the first format are recorded on a hardware support transported to a local installation, towards which the data with the second format and the command data will later be transmitted through a telephone network from the central installation in such a way as to reconstitute the information about the show at the local installation by combining the data with the two formats. The invention applies especially to producing audiovisual shows containing advertising messages. <IMAGE>
