PURPOSE:To obtain a contact type magnetic head which prevents damage to a medium such as a magnetic disc and gives rise to deterioration in characteristic by using a porous material impregnated with a lubricant as a holding body (referring to a slider). CONSTITUTION:A material prepd. by impregnating a lubricant such as metallic soap consisting of a metallic salt of a higher fatty acid, ester of a higher fatty acid, higher fatty acid amide, etc. into porous ceramic or porous glass such as cordierite (2Mg.2Al2O3.5SiO2) or the like is used as a material for a contact type head which sandwiches a magnetic core 1 for recording and reproducing and a magnetic core 2 for erasing with a support 3 or is disposed therewith on both sides of the support 3 and is further supported over the entire part by a slider 4. The head which decreases the deterioration in the recording and reproducing characteristic by the damage of a magnetic disc in the stage of contact with the magnetic disc 5 or the like is thus obtd. |
