摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a power supply relating to resistance compensation without using a block selection shift register by replacing data at every batch print and changing the number of simultaneous printing characters. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 6 generates a recording signal (a), a clock signal (b) and a latch signal (d), transfers sequentially black information below the simultaneous printing characters number permitted for a power supply 4 to a serial/parallel shift resister 1 and a latch circuit 2 to change the simultaneous printing characters number in response to the resistance of heat resistors 5 arranged in a line. The recording signal (a) is transferred to the shift register 1 by using the clock (b) until black picture elements of the simultaneous printing characters number allowed to the power supply 4 reach the corresponding heater position. A parallel output (c) is transferred in parallel to the latch circuit 2 by using the latch signal (d) and when an effective signal (e) is set to a gate circuit 7, a driver 3 supplies a current from the power supply 4 to the heat resistors 5 to heat the black picture elements.</p>
