This device is intended, in particular, to be used in applications where a gas under high pressure flows in coaxial pipelines rotating with respect to one another. According to the invention, provision is made to supply hydraulic liquid to the housing delimited between the pipelines 1, 2, 4, 5 in which sealing assemblies 10, 10a are received, thus ensuring sealing without sliding of the packing on the bearing surfaces. In one embodiment, an adjustment in the flow rate of liquid introduced in the zone Z1 is made as a function of the variation in differential pressure on either side of packing separating the gas from the liquid. <IMAGE>
