PURPOSE:To attain the stereoscopic confirmation of a three-dimensional model and excellent remote manipulator operation with a simple constitution by synthesizing respective images and inversional images of displays arranged rectangularly each other by a half mirror and controlling image inversion in the basis of a coordinate conversion operating result. CONSTITUTION:The photographed image signals of a model by TV cameras 23, 24 are supplied to displays 13, 13' provided with polarizing filters 12 and arranged rectangularly each other, one signal is supplied through an image inversional device 15 and both the images are synthesized by a half mirror 14. On the other hand, the input coordinates of the model about respective coordinate axes which are obtained by a main image arithmetic unit 19 are supplied to stereoscopic processing arithmetic unit 16 through a coordinate conversion device 22 and arithmetic units 17, 18 for left and right eyes in the unit 16 calculates the coordinates for left and right visual points. The coordinate results are directly supplied displays 13, 13' through the device 15. Consequently, the stereoscopic confirmation of the three-dimensional model and excellent remote manipulator operation proper to a computer helping design system can be attained with a simple constitution omitting a visual interface. |
