A rack-like device according to the invention comprises two separate side parts 21,22, which are each provided at their respective one edge section with grooves 19,20 in the mutually facing inner sides of the side parts. Inserted and clamped in these grooves is a roller chain 12, the sides of which are precisely guided by the side walls and base of the groove. The chain is locked 30 against displacement in the grooves. The side parts are held together with a certain force against the roller chain by clamp bolts 29 or similar clamping members. The roller chain and the side parts are held together by the clamp bolts to form a rack-like unit which is rigid along the whole of its length. <IMAGE> |
