Arrangement in the case of an articulated-arm awning for fastening a carrying tube on a bracket or an articulated arm on a carrying tube using a bracing means, the bracket or the articulated arm having an adapted receiving means which is at least in the form of a mouth. The invention provides that a wedge body (2), which has a planar bevel (6) and is guided in a through-passage (14) in one of the mouth legs of the receiving means (12), transversely to said mouth leg, can be guided, with the aid of the bracing means (8), tangentially up to the carrying tube (10) to such an extent that, due to the bevel (6), the carrying tube (10) can be clamped in the receiving means (12) such that it is pressed flush therein. <IMAGE>
