A device on drainage openings of oil sumps, especially oil sumps of engines in motor vehicles is described, which comprises a compression-resistant hose (1) of limited length, the one end of which is tightly connected to a nipple (2), which can be fixed in the drainage opening (5), and the other end of which has a removable plug (3), this free end being fixable at a high level by means of retaining elements (9). In addition, the use of this device in connection with a collecting tank is explained, the filler opening of which is composed of a plastic of at least limited elastic deformability and has a diameter which is matched to the diameter of the free hose end in such a way that this hose end can be fixed with a snap action in the filler opening of the collecting tank (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
