The invention is based on the object of transporting the sisal leaves, which have been cut from the sisal plant and have fallen to the ground, on the conveyor belt of the mobile implement into a collecting container from where they can be removed in bundles. For this purpose, the cart is driven between the rows of sisal plants and around the plants in order to pick up the cut leaves onto the transporting device of the implement. For collecting the cut leaves from the ground, this mobile implement has a plurality of spring-mounted forks between which transporting rollers of small diameter move the leaves forwards. The leaves are moved by two funnel-shaped plates, mounted laterally on the spring-mounted forks, into a transporting position, namely with the leaves lying lengthwise transversely relative to the mobile implement. By means of the flexible shovels of the conveyor belt which can pick up one or more leaves, the leaves are picked up and transported upwards. Having passed over the deflection roller, the leaf or leaves drops or drop into the collection container provided, from where they can be removed tied in bundles.
