The device for emptying hoppers, which are filled with non-trickling industrial waste, consists in the fact that the hopper contents are fed by clearing members to a vertical, central chute from annular discs mounted with spacing in parallel one above the other and are conveyed away at the lower end of the chute. In this case, a long, suspended object which can be set in a swaying movement runs through the chute.
