PURPOSE:To attain highly accurate focus adjustment with a simple constitution by executing the accumulating operation of a light receiving part in parallel with the 1st processing of a control means for detecting focus adjusting state processing operation. CONSTITUTION:A processing means D executes the focus adjusting state processing on the basis of data accumulated in a light receiving part C and a lens A is moved through a driving means E to be driven in accordance with the processed result to execute focus adjustment. The processing operation of the means D is detected by a control means F to control the light receiving part C or the like, and during the stop of the lens A, 2nd data accumulation in the light receiving part C is executed in parallel with the 1st processing of the means D. Consequently, data accumulation for focus detection is executed twice with a simple constitution by using the lens stopping time and highly accurate automatic focus adjustment with high following property to a moving body can be attained. |
