PURPOSE:To prevent a tracking error during the recording and reproduction of a magnetic disk by positioning a head arm to a home position by a head arm stopper and positioning a take-up drum to an initial position by a take-up drum stopper. CONSTITUTION:When an engaging leaf spring 39 is disengaged from an engaging protrusion 38, the free end part 36b of a driving belt 36 becomes free and accordingly, the head arm 31 supporting an arm pulley 34 on which the driving belt 36 is wound also becomes free. When the head arm 31 becomes free, the head arm 31 is reset to the home position at a stroke by the restoring force of a tension coil spring 31a and the take-up drum 30 is pulled by the driving belt 36 and rotated clockwise. During the reset of the head arm 31, the head arm 31 abuts on the head arm stopper 47 and the home position is positioned.
