SYSTEM FOR CONVEYING CONICAL ARTICLES

A system for fitting conical articles into receiving portions of stands (8) on a conveyor belt one by one by spontaneous falling. Conical articles are transported as held between a pair of circulating chains (33, 33a) disposed above the conveyor belt and are each allowed to fall onto a receiving assembly (7) provided below the downstream ends of the chains (33, 33a) by alternate opening and closing of main shutters (4) and subshutters (5) arranged close to the downstream end of the path of transport. The conical article is released from the receiving assembly (7) as timed with the passage of the stand (8) immediately below the assembly (7).
