PURPOSE:To make it possible to form a material having an optional formable temperature range with a good accuracy, by providing a mold temperature measuring device for measuring the mold for containing a forming material therein. CONSTITUTION:A mold 4 containing a forming material is adjusted to a given temperature by a heating device 3 and a mold 4 is pressurized by a pressurizing device 2 having a pressurizing rod 2 to form the above-mentioned material. A mold temperature measuring device 5 is provided in the bottom of a forming device body 1 of the above- mentioned construction to insert a temperature detecting element (5a) installed in a manner capable of advancing and retreating by a cylinder (5c) into a recessed part (4a) of the above-mentioned mold 4. The temperature of the mold 4 is measured to output the measured values to a control device 9. Furthermore, a kind detector 10 is preferably arranged in the forming device body 1 to detect the kind of the mold 4 and molding material charged thereinto and output the data to the above-mentioned control device 9, which inputs the above-mentioned outputs to control a voltage regulator 11 and a control valve 8 present in a pipe 7 of a working fluid on the basis of the data. Thereby the above-mentioned heating device 3 and pressurizing device 2 are controlled.
