The invention relates to a foldable garment holder for fastening to a vertical mounting wall, in particular for use for private purposes. The object set is to develop an attractively designed garment holder which takes up little space when not in use. This object is achieved by a moulded plate which is aligned parallel to the wall in the unused state and then completely covers a garment hanger positioned beneath the moulded plate. <IMAGE>
