The invention relates to a process for obtaining a novel product consisting of wood roasted at 250-280 degree C in a non- oxidizing atmosphere, in the form of small sticks of uniform lengths (15 mm, for example) and with a diameter of between 5 and 20 mm, without removing bark. The preparation process comprises the obtaining, by means of cultivation, of rectilinear woody shoots (sprouts), the latter's cutting-up, drying and roasting, preferably in a vertical reactor 101 where the material to be roasted 115 has a gaseous stream which circulates at high speed passing through it. |
