PURPOSE:To obtain the highly stable titled solution useful for a trace element for addition of a fluorescent substance, functional thin-film material, etc., by adding mono-, di- or triethanolamine to a methanol solution of a manganess halide to carry out methoxidation reaction. CONSTITUTION:Monoethanolamine, diethanolamine and/or triethanolamine are added to a methanol solution of a manganese halide (preferably manganese chloride) to carry out methoxidation reaction. Then the obtained solution is preferably treated with an ion exchange resin to stable obtain the aimed solution which is so unstable and hardly soluble that the production thereof is considered to be difficult.
