PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition excellent in heat resistance, impact resistance and moldability, by mixing a composition comprising a specified polyphenylene ether and a modified polyolefin composition with an epoxy compound. CONSTITUTION:Polyphenylene ether (a) is obtained by polymerizing at least one phenolic compound of the formula [wherein R1-5 are each H, a halogen or a (substituted) hydrocarbyl and at least one of them must be H] by oxidation with O2 or an O2-containing gas at 40 deg.C or above (high-temperature polymerization) or below 40 deg.C (low-temperature polymerization) in the presence of an oxidative coupling catalyst (e.g., manganese chloride-ethylenediamine). 100pts.wt. composition (A) obtained by mixing 5-95% component (a) with 95-5wt% modified polyolefin composition (b) formed by graft-copolymerizing 0.05-20wt% monomer such as maleic acid (anhydride) with PE, PP or the like is melt- kneaded with 0.01-50pts.wt. epoxy compound (B) such as an epoxy resin or an epoxy group-containing copolymer (e.g., a copolymer comprising an unsaturated epoxy compound and an ethylenically unsaturated compound).
