PURPOSE:To improve the hydrolysis resistance of an organophosphite compound remarkably and to prevent the reduction of stabilizing action thereof for a synthetic resin even after storage under a humid atmosphere, by incorporating a non-aromatic organic amine compound into a specified organophosphite compound. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition consists of an organophosphite compound of formula I (wherein R is alkyl) and a small amount of non-aromatic organic amine compound. Examples of alkyl in formula I include methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, amyl, hexyl, and octyl. Examples of the non-aromatic organic amine compound include a trialkanolamine, a dialkanol aliphatic amine, a dialkanolamine, and a heterocyclic amine. Preferably, 0.1-2pts.wt. amine is incorporated into 100pts.wt. phosphite compound.
