摘要 PURPOSE:To make favorable controlling accuracy of a charging quantity securable at the whole range, by controlling a combustion state in an engine on the basis of mean effective combustion pressure of maximum combustion pressure according to the suction charging quantity. CONSTITUTION:At a control unit 16, the mean value and standard deviation of the maximum combustion pressure and the mean effective combustion pressure of an engine 1 detected by a combustion pressure sensor 5 are found. And, when the mean value of the mean effective combustion pressure equivalent to a suction charging quantity is more than the specified value, an air-fuel ratio and ignition timing are controlled so as to cause the value to become the specified value on the basis of the standard deviation of the mean effective combustion pressure. On the other hand, when the mean value of the mean effective combustion pressure is less than the specified value, the air-fuel ratio and the ignition timing are controlled so as to cause the value to become the specified value on the basis of the standard deviation of the maximum combustion pressure. With constitution, favorable engine control accuracy is made so as to be securable at the whole range.
