The door (7) is intended for controlling the movement of farm animals through a passage (5,6), e.g. to a feeding trought (1). It has at least one side provided with an electrically conducting screen (9) which is insulated (11) from the door and connected to a source (10) of harmless deterrent voltage. The screen may consist of metal plate, wire mesh, wires or chains of or of metal or conducting plastic or rubber foil possibly glued to the surface of a flexible insulating plastic or rubber plate as door. A feeding trough (1) can supply feed in response to a sensor (4). The screen (9) prevents further animals from trying to enter the passage. When the screen is arranged on one side of a passage, return movement through the passage is prevented.
