The foot-operated drive takes place on the drive wheel, provided with a freewheel mechanism, via two pedal levers (12). The two pedal levers (12) operate on a common axle (7) via chains (29). Said levers are either moved upwards again by springs or are connected to each other by means of a reversing gear, as a result of which the upwards and downwards movements of the pedal levers take place in a forced manner in mutually opposite directions. The scooter rider's feet and legs move in an organically pleasant and anatomically correct driving manner which leads to easy locomotion of the scooter. New in addition is the fact that the drive via the pedal levers (12) is now applied to the endless chains (29) by means of catches (27). <IMAGE>
