PURPOSE:To enable a chip to be used even when the characteristic of the chip varies widely, by setting the characteristic of the chip in a characteristic inspection at a bubble cassette, and setting a driving current or a timing corresponding to the characteristic at a holder unit. CONSTITUTION:At a characteristic setting circuit 3 in the bubble cassette, the characteristics such as the optimum driving current level, and a timing, etc., at the stage of the characteristic inspection, are set. Meanwhile, at the holder unit, an operational condition setting circuit 4 consisting of a driving current circuit, a function current setting circuit, a sense amplifier slice level setting circuit, and a timing setting circuit, is provided. And by a display signal 5 from the circuit 3, the optimum conditions for a coil driver, a function driver, a sense amplifier, and a timing generator, are set, and a sufficient actual margin can be obtained even when the characteristic varies widely.
