<p>A magnetic-tape apparatus comprises a scanning unit (1) which comprises at least one magnetic head (6) mounted on a rotatable head support (5). The scanning unit (1) further comprises a drum-shaped guide means comprising an upper drum and a lower drum (4, 3) which occupy a fixed position on the frame and between which the head support (5) is mounted for rotation, the circumferential surfaces of said drums forming a curved guide surface (7) which is situated near the circular path (6a) of the magnetic head (6) and over which the magnetic tape (8) is guided. Each of the facing axial end walls of the upper and lower drums (4, 3) comprises a wall portion (4a, 3a) on which positioning elements (26-31) are formed. The positioning elements of the two wall portions engage with each other in pairs to form a statically defined connection between the upper drum and the lower drum (4, 3). Fixing means (32) keep the upper drum and the lower drum (3, 4) pressed against one another at the location of the positioning elements (26-31).</p> |
