The easy chair comprises a first set of rods (3 and 4) hinged together (B) or acting as front legs and arms respectively and connected (A and C) to the seat (1) and to the backrest (2), the latter two having a pivot (D). A second set of rods (5) acting as rear legs and of levers (6) joined together (F) by a hinge and pivoting on the arms (4) and on the seat (1) at (E) and (G) respectively, completes the hinged structure which reduces to a flat panel (shaft) when its components are rotated, because the length (A, B, C) is equal to the length (A, D, C) and because the length (F, E, C) is equal to the length (F, G, D, C). The backrest (2) has hook means (7) on which the easy chair, reduced to a flat panel (shaft) can be hung up like a coat hanger in an ordinary wardrobe. It is characterised by its comfort and at the same time its practicality and ease of storage, and its particular use is in dwellings with limited space and in private and public places of refreshment and entertainment. <IMAGE>
