PURPOSE:To improve the operation rate, and reduce the operation by an operator in the case of carrying out a stock control of physical distribution system by mounting a workpiece on a palette having an ID card, by making the ID card partly retain attended information as well as a computer. CONSTITUTION:In the physical distribution system, a workpiece 2 is mounted on a palette 1, and is taken in and out through inlet and outlet stations 4 and 5 to an automatic warehouse 7. The palette 1 is moved by an unmanned carrier 8, so as to supply materials to a machining center 10. A computer 11 serves to control an unattended status, output a document and update inventory data file 12. An ID card 3 having a read/write memory is mounted on each palette 1, and ID card stations 6 are arranged on the stations 4 and 5 and the unmanned carrier 8. When inventory status is changed, data in the ID card 3 and the inventory data file 12 are updated. |
