<p>PURPOSE:To make a tracking control high in accuracy, and to simplify the whole of a system, by controlling a tape feed speed corresponding to a difference between a time when a head passes through a reference on a tape, and the time when the head detects a recording synchronizing signal. CONSTITUTION:A time difference detection circuit 10 detects a time difference, from the time when a rotary head passes through a reference point located at a prescribed distance from a tape edge, to the time when a specific synchronizing signal recorded on a tape pattern is detected by the rotary head, by a PG pulse from a terminal 11. The bit of time difference information is supplied to an adder 12, and a logic circuit 13 to decide the median of the dislocated quantity of the signal, and to the circuit 13, a bit of error rate information is also supplied. And the median decided at the circuit 13 is supplied to the adder 12 as the signal with a negative polarity, and a bit of obtained difference information is derived to a terminal 6 as a tracking error signal, then a tracking servo being applied on bit.</p> |
