PURPOSE:To accurately detect the position of a sample which has clogged in a pneumatic tube by providing holes which connect the inside and outside of said pneumatic tube which conveys by pressure a solid object as a sample, perpendicularly to the outer peripheral face of said tube while at a defined distance in the longitudinal direction of said tube. CONSTITUTION:A sample pneumatic tube 1 is formed with a steel tube 2 having a circular sectional form so as to convey a solid sample 4 by means of a compressed gaseous body. Holes 3 having circular sectional forms are provided on the outer peripheral face of the steel tube 2 so as to connect the inside and outside of the steel tube 2, perpendicularly to the outer peripheral face of the steel tube 2 and at a defined distance in the longitudinal direction of the steel pipe 2. When a sample 4 is clogged in the sample pneumatic tube 1, a compressed air is fed into the sample pneumatic tube 1 from the upper course side, allowing a high speed air to jet out from the hole 3 on the upper course side of the sample 4 while a low speed air to jet out from the hole 3 on the lower course side. Thereby, by distinguishing the difference between the jet-out airs, the clogged position of the sample 4 can be detected.
