PURPOSE:To make it possible to set the number of condensers having trouble in a power condenser group, by detecting the trouble of a unit condenser and succeedingly monitoring the trouble of the next condenser from the detection state. CONSTITUTION:Voltages eA, eB of the first and second stages of a condenser group are introduced into input converters 11a, 11b which in turn convert the input quantities of electricity thereof to voltage signals. A sample holding circuit 12 samples the outputs of the converters 11a, 11b at a predetermined interval and an A/D converter 14 converts the output of the circuit 12 to digital data through a multiplexer 13. The output of the converter 14 is applied to a direct memory access circuit 15 and a memory circuit 16 writes the output of the converter 14 in a predetermined address by the circuit 15. Further, a central operation unit 18 uses the program of ROM 17 and the voltage data of the first and second stages of the condenser group of the circuit 16 to perform the operation of a relay. The trouble of a unit condenser is judged on the basis of the operational result and the number of troubles of the unit condenser or the ratio thereof is outputted from an output circuit 19.
