PURPOSE:To form a recording image excellent in ink receptivity, ink developability, resolving power and water resistance, by containing a polymer comprising a monomer having mol.wt. 74 or more and a hydroxyl group- containing side chain in the ink receiving layer provided on a base material. CONSTITUTION:A polymer comprising a monomer unit with mol.wt. 74 having a hydroxyl group-containing side chain can be obtained by the homopolymerization of the monomer with mol.wt. of 74 having the hydroxyl group-containing side chain or copolymerization of said monomer and other monomer and, further, can be also obtained by a method wherein a polymer having a functional group such as a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group, an amino group, an amido group, an epoxy group or an isocyanate group is reacted with a compound having a group capable of reacting with said functional group and a hydroxyl group. Especially, for example, if about 20-100% by wt. of all monomers of a monomer is an acrylic one, a film excellent in strength, water resistance, transparency, light fastness and other film physical properties and good as an ink accepting layer can be formed. |
