PURPOSE:To delicately control the concn. of zinc in a plating soln. with an apparatus for dissolving zinc for electroplating by controlling the flow rate of the plating soln. sent to the apparatus. CONSTITUTION:Granular metallic zinc is packed into an apparatus for dissolving zinc for electroplating and the initial packing density is calculated. The velocity of dissolution of zinc required to obtain the desired concn. of zinc is decided from electric current for plating and the concn. of zinc in a plating soln. flowing in the apparatus. A space velocity required to obtain the velocity of dissolution of zinc at the initial packing density is calculated and the flow rate of the plating soln. sent to the apparatus with a pump is set on the basis of the space velocity.
