A magazine (l0) for holding one or more data storage units (ll) is provided on top with a carrying handle (l2). The magazine (l0) is intended to be loaded into apparatus (30) arranged to write data to and/or read data from the data storage units (ll). To facilitate loading of the magazine (l0) into the apparatus (30), the latter is provided with an upright door (3l) arranged to tilt open outwardly by pivotal movement about a substantially horizontal axis lying in the region of the bottom of the door. To load the magazine (l0) simply requires the latter to be tilted slightly from its normal carrying position and then slide down the back of the open door (3l) and into the apparatus.
