PURPOSE:To exclude the limitation of the movement of a terminal equipment, to facilitate extension and removal of the terminal equipment and to execute a CSMA/CD protocol with fidelity by providing a satellite transmitting/receiving a signal between a transceiver connected to a LAN medium via space, and a terminal equipment transmitting/receiving the signal via space and a collision detection function to the transceiver. CONSTITUTION:A transceiver 9 transmits/receives a signal through a coaxial cable 6, detects collision of the cable 6 and generates a detection signal. The satellite 10 sends a signal from the transceiver 9 to the transceiver 9 via space. The terminal equipment 11 transmits/receives a signal via space to/from the satellite 10. Further, the terminal equipment 11 compares the signal inputted from a terminal equipment 8 with a signal reflected from the coaxial cable 6 via the transceiver 9 and if they are not coincident, it is discriminated as the collision in the satellite and a collision signal is reflected to the terminal equipment 8 by a collision detection section. Thus, the compatibility with the CSMA/CD standard is not lost, the limitation of movement to the terminal equipment is eliminated and the extension/abolition of the terminal equipment is facilitated. |
