PURPOSE:To attain line connection test without interrupting job by sending test data to an equipment except its own equipment in each information processing unit, receiving the data without hindrance to the execution of routine job and reflecting the data as it is when the data is discriminated to be the test data. CONSTITUTION:Information processing units 10, 20, 30 have similar functions. The unit 20 is added to a system comprising the units 10, 30 and a communication line and the resulting system is connected by the communication line to confirm the connection, and in confirming the connection between the units 20, 10, the test data is sent to the device 10 by a data generating circuit 25, a transmission buffer 21 and a transmission circuit 23. In the unit 10, the data are stored in a reception buffer 12 and compared with the content with that stored in a storage circuit 16 for a set value by a comparator circuit 17. The content of the circuit 16 is the special data united as the system. When the content of the both is coincident as the result of comparison, the content of the reception buffer 12 is sent as it is to the unit 20. If dissident, the processing is executed similarly as a conventional processing. The returned data is compared with the content of the circuit 26 of the unit 20 similarly as above and the propriety of connection is judged by the result of comparison. |
