PURPOSE:To diagnosis the other peripheral controllers with a service processor by gathering error information of the other peripheral controllers, which one peripheral controller reads out periodically, by the service processor. CONSTITUTION:Peripheral controllers 10, 20, and 30 are normally diagnosed through diagnostic interfaces 60, 61, and 62 and a peripheral controller 2 by a central processing unit 1. Independently of the central processing unit 1, the peripheral controller 2 gathers error information periodically through diagnostic interfaces 60, 61, and 62 to hold the latest information. A service processor 3 reads out information held in the peripheral controller 2 through a diagnostic interface 41 by an information reading means 31 on demand and diagnoses peripheral controllers 10, 20, and 30 by a diagnostic means 32. |
