PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of data by detecting the dust on a magnetic disk, by composing the slider part of the magnetic disk with a piezoelectric material and by attaching an electrode on the front and back faces thereof. CONSTITUTION:A slider is worked with a piezoelectric material 1 and an electrode is attached on the front and back faces 3, 4 thereof. The deflection caused on the piezoelectric material 1 with the dust 22 on the medium being collided with a chamber 5 and floating surface 6 by floating the slider on the medium 21 moving in a direction D is detected by a lead wire 2 and the slider is saved when the collision frequency becomes more. Since the piezoelectric material is used in this way the destruction of the data is prevented by detecting the collision frequency with the dust 22, and in case of the frequency being less to the contrary the recording and reproduction in high density can be performed by reducing the floating amount.
