PURPOSE:To avoid noise generation in the course of transmission of information, by converting a beam current into an optical pulse corresponding to its frequency and transmitting this optical pulse to current integrating unit through an optical transmission path. CONSTITUTION:A transducer 1 set in a high-potential unit is composed, in addition to an I/V convertor 2 converting a current I to a voltage V, of a V/f convertor 5 converting the voltage V to a frequency F and of an E/O convertor 10 converting an electrical signal E to an optical pulse O. And, the optical pulse from the convertor 10 is transmitted to a current integrating unit 4 located in an earth-potential unit through an optical transmission path 11 using an optical fiber, etc. In the integrating unit 4, the optical pulse O thus transmitted is converted 12 to a pulse E and the pulse E thus converted is connected 13 and in a CUP 14, a count value counted 13 is taken every unit of time for digital treatment and the digitally treated value is displayed as a beam current I in a displayer 15. Thus, noise generation in the course of information transmission process can be avoided.
