PURPOSE:To prevent peeling off of a paste-like active material and to increase conductivity by filling a specific paste-like active material mainly comprising nickel hydroxide in a porous nickel body having three dimensional structure. CONSTITUTION:A paste-like active material mainly comprising nickel hydroxide is supported in a porous nickel body having three dimensional structure. An alkali resistant short fiber conductive material is mixed to the paste-like active material. Spongy nickel or nonsintered body made of nickel nonwoven fabric is used as the porous nickel body having three dimensional structure. Nickel or stainless steel is preferable as the conductive material mixed to the paste-like active material, and mixed in a range of 0.5-10wt% after cutting it in a form of short fiber. Since the short fiber conductive material prevents the peeling off of the active material, the nickel positive electrode shows good discharge performance. |
